Cheshire History Day

SATURDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2008 at  NORTHWICH MEMORIAL HALL

CHESHIRE GARDENS, PARKS & GARDENERS

2008 has been designated ‘Cheshire Year of Gardens’ and this year’s History Day is part of a widely varied programme of events, celebrating the rich heritage preserved by parks and gardens in the county.

The speakers will be:
Sam Youd who is Gardens Manager at Tatton Park and a Fellow of the Institute of Horticulture.
Elizabeth Davey , a well known lecturer in local history has a particular interest in the landscape gardener Edward Kemp.
Jonathan Pepler is the Cheshire County Archivist who has a particular interest in maps and map-making
Wendy Morgan, an art historian has a particular interest in Victorian garden design.

A publicity leaflet with application form is currently available and will be sent to all members of the Association.
