to Cheshire Local History Association's website.
The
Association's purpose is to provide an umbrella service for all local history
and heritage societies within the bounds of the ancient County Palatine of
Chester, and to bring together individuals and organisations interested in all
aspects of local history. It also seeks to improve communication between
individual members and societies both within Cheshire and beyond.
To
achieve its aims the Association arranges meetings at various venues around
the county, facilitates an annual 'At Home' hosted by a member society,
organises a 'Cheshire Local History Day' in Northwich each October, issues an
occasional Newsletter, and publishes the highly respected annual journal - 'Cheshire
History'.
Membership
is available to individuals or couples at £10 p.a. or to societies and other
bodies at £20 p.a. Membership fee includes price of 'Cheshire History'.
